Lara (she/her) is a grant writer committed to breaking down complex projects and issues into easily understandable language. Her core belief in the power of clear communication drives her mission to ensure that proposals and reports are accessible to people of all backgrounds, regardless of their industry knowledge.

Lara brings to FundEd Strategies over six years of experience in grant writing and nonprofit fundraising as well as two years of experience as a UX Designer. She previously served as Grants & Individual Giving Specialist at First Up, a Philadelphia-based early childhood nonprofit dedicated to providing technical assistance, professional development, and advocacy opportunities for early childhood educators. There, she honed her grant writing skills and cultivated a deep passion for education equity, both driving forces in her career. Her background in UX Design has equipped her with the ability to translate intricate concepts into digestible content, further shaping her writing style and approach.

Lara holds a B.A. in Sociology from The College of Wooster. She resides in Philadelphia with her partner and two cats. Outside of work, you can find her singing in choir rehearsal, going for a run, or planning her next trip.
