Kayla (she/her) is a grant writer with nearly a decade of experience helping nonprofits identify funding opportunities and write clear, compelling proposals. She supports partners by aligning their goals and efforts with funder priorities, and her approach is rooted in experience across a wide range of funding types and sectors.
Before joining the team, Kayla worked closely with an assortment of human service agencies, early learning coalitions, and nonprofits at various stages of growth, from new organizations to those with more than 100 years of history. Her background includes grant writing, fundraising, and the coordination of operations and development work, with an emphasis on building sustainable funding pipelines.
Kayla holds a B.S. in Environmental Science from Northeastern University, and lives in Orlando, Florida. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her pets, and building cars and computers with her husband.
