Dalton Cargo

Senior Grant Writer

Dalton (he/him) is a grant writer with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the education sector. Dalton collaborates closely with our partners, translating their visions into effective grant applications that drive positive change and foster sustainable growth, while centering storytelling. His work plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between visionary educational goals and the financial resources needed to make them a reality.

Dalton previously served as both a Volunteer Coordinator and an Executive Assistant at Food & Friends, an incredible, DC-based nonprofit that provides medically tailored meals to people living with life-challenging illnesses. His experience in the food nonprofit sector informs his approach to education reform because he believes everyone deserves access to essential, life-enriching resources and opportunities regardless of their circumstances.

Dalton holds a B.S. in English from Towson University. He lives with his two dogs and cat in Pittsburgh. He enjoys taking yoga classes, baking, and his dream vacation is a train ride across Canada.
